Melodic Dirt

Band Name: melodic DIRT

Album Name: melodic DIRT
Music Style: Grunge rock with a gothic jazz surf metal country twist.

Immersed in a world of music since a young age, and although through the mind and ears of a drummer, I’ve heard different types of melodies and harmonies through out it all. Starting in 2001, I began delving into song creation with keyboards which eventually led to guitars, bass and vocals, leaving the drums to my sequenced beat making skills. Several years of off and on music production eventually evolved into the melodic DIRT sound.

Band Name: Annette
Album Name: Papillon amiral
Music Style: singer songwriter/acoustic rock

Singer songwriter Annette Campagne delivers a mix of contemporary folk, melodic pop and acoustic rock. Combined with straight ‘shoot from the hip ness’ lyrics and soulful vocals, her songs have content and depth.

Folk rock singer songwriter Annette Campagne has been writing and performing for over 25 years. Singing in both English and French, her work with the group Hart Rouge boasts an impressive list of accomplishments: seven albums and several commercial radio hits and tours across Canada, the U.S. and Europe. This paved the way for her solo career, where she released another three albums.

Annette proves she is the quintessential Canadian artist; the straight-shooting poet of a prairie girl who has seen the world but who revels in her prairie roots. She’s the hip, urban musician standing in a field of wheat singing about heartbreak and the thrill of new beginnings; about the refusal to compromise; about fury and forgiveness.

Her most recent album, ‘Papillon amiral”, is full of rough guitars, beautiful vocals, strong melodies and powerful lyrics. It is smooth and soulful with a hit of big sky country, the work of an artist whose mettle has been tested.

She strives to create a ‘comfortable connectedness’ and a ‘feel good’ atmosphere with her songwriting. Her songs are positive, not in a ‘fleur bleu/everything is wonderful” way, but one based in a faith-infused reality and self- empowering optimism.

She delivers a mix of contemporary folk, melodic pop and acoustic rock with a sweet and soulful voice. Her songs weave through life’s paradoxes with a mix of compassion, contemplative detachment and humor leaving one with a refreshing sense of hope and faith.

Keeton Coffman

Band Name: Keeton Coffman
Album Name: The Ghost
Music Style: Indie Rock / Indie Folk / Americana

Keeton Coffman is at his core, a songwriter. Evoking the melodic styles and passionate lyricism of Amos Lee, David Gray, and Bruce Springsteen, Coffman’s songs capture your imagination while weaving a melody into your very soul.

The new EP release The Ghost, shows songwriter Keeton Coffman’s unique ability to cross genres seamlessly in this powerful group of radio friendly indie pop songs.

After performing and writing for The 71’s, who found success in TV placements, were featured on news specials in Houston, and named best new band in Houston, Keeton went his own direction as a solo artist in
2013 and has been performing live and writing full time ever since.

The Ghost EP features an array of brilliant songwriting and unique structure and arrangement.

The first single “The Letter” is a catchy, up beat indie folk pop song that tells a classic love story.

The songwriter explains the questions posed by the song. “What does True Love do in the face of betrayal? What does True Love say to the now helpless heart that once wounded it? How far will True Love go to restore what once was?”

Another single “The Hunted And The Hunter “, is a fully orchestrated track with beautiful and addictive piano sections and a film score-like atmosphere to it.

“I wrote The Hunted And The Hunter as an allegory about my relationship (still in progress, no doubt) with my Creator. From a distance the concept of God terrifies me – it’s difficult to trust what you don’t fully know. And yet, as I follow His whispers His presence feels more like rain, and less like thunder. ” says Keeton of the piece.

Though each song is disguised as a pop tune with catchy melody, elaborate yet accessible instrumentation, and Keeton’s heartfelt and authentic vocal presentation… The songs are actually character portraits. Paintings of people caught in the middle of critical life experiences. Keeton Coffman consistently describes his writing process as initially journeying out to create fictional characters, and yet in hindsight, finding himself in each one.

In the last two years, Keeton has performed live in venues across Houston with such artists as Jessie Ware, William Beckett, Ellis Paul, David Ramirez, Daley, and Andrew Ripp.  He will be performing with “The Voice” finalist, Nicholas David in February 2015.
